My Goals for October

October is finally upon us. Many of us are dreaming of ghouls and goblins, getting geared up for that one night of the year when we can let loose, dress up, and have a bit of fun. Well, not me, really. I don’t do Halloween, honestly. I never have. Maybe when I was a kid, but these days, it just seems silly to me. To me, October is a time of growth. I’m well on my way with my new life. It’s been over a year, and honestly, I’m doing great. So what, exactly, do I want to accomplish in October?

Well, for starters, I want to become more comfortable with my job. I want to get to the point where everything flows smoothly. I want to get my team up to par in the stats. And I want to take the lead on the boards. That’s important for me. Not because I want recognition, but because it means I’m doing a good job, my team is learning from me, and we’re beginning to mesh as a unit. That’s what I want.

I also want to find my own house. Sure, having roommates has advantages. Plenty of fun, laughter, and people to talk to. But it doesn’t compare to having my own place. So, yeah. That’s one of my goals this month.

Other than that, we’ll just have to see what happens. I don’t have a ton of goals, honestly. I’m just trying to find my way still. But whatever I do, I’m sure it will be great.

Since I was a young boy I’ve had a wild imagination and absolutely love telling people what I think (just ask my wife)! In my 20s I discovered blogging. In my 30s I discovered a passion for creative writing. Throughout my life everyone told me that I’m pretty opinionated, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. I have opinions about almost everything. Join me on my journey as I talk about everything from politics to new stories, family life to vacations, and everything in between. Obligatory warning: This blog is not PC. While I am not intentionally offensive (usually), there will likely be things here that some may find offensive. If you’re easily offended, I only have this to say: either suck it up, or move along!
