Keeping a blog updated is one of the most important aspects of any online business. The biggest reason this is so important is because visitors expect to see fresh content on a regular basis. If they don’t see it, they will quickly move on. Just like traditional business and customers, once you lose readers, it is almost impossible to get them back. That being said, one of the best ways to keep, and grow, your visitors (traffic) is to provide them with steady blog updates. Unfortunately, doing so just so happens to also one of the most time-consuming aspects of running an online business. You have a few options, though.
Find the time
The most logical solution is to simply find the time yourself to research, create, and post your own blog posts. While this makes the most sense to many people, it usually isn’t the most feasible, especially if you’re already stretched to the limit with the other everyday aspects of your business. If you choose to go this route, it is imperative that you keep up with the schedule. Otherwise, again, you’ll end up losing your readers and your traffic, and your blog will fade into the background of infinity like so many before it.
Another option is to “hire” guest bloggers to do the work for you. In case you’re unfamiliar with the term, a guest blogger is someone who comes along and posts an article on your blog, with their name attached. This wouldn’t normally be a bad idea, except for one big issue: guest bloggers almost always want to include backlinks to their own websites, content or articles in order to get more traffic to their own site. What’s the problem with that? Well, for starters, you have absolutely zero control over what the guest blogger puts on their own website. If they suddenly decide to “go rogue” and post some unsavory content, and you link to their website, your own blog suffers as well.
The final option is to pay for custom content. This is often the best, and easiest, option. Custom content is created just for you and, generally, includes research and SEO. This is not the cheapest option (at least not if you do it right), but it is the most effective when it comes to search engine optimization, research, scheduling and ensuring that your blog follows the standards set forth by “The Big G” (Google). After all, if you don’t satisfy Google’s algorithms and rules, then your website will quickly become de-indexed and will disappear, and nobody wants that.
As I said earlier, I understand how time-consuming running a business is. Let me help you by providing unique custom content just for you. Whenever you’re ready to get started just hop on over to the contact page and let me know what you’re looking for.
