Second Amendment: Not Open For Debate
There has been a lot going on in the news lately involving shootings, protests, the NRA, and the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution… which guarantees U.S. citizens the right to keep and bear arms. Lines are being drawn in the sand between the two sides… those who are willing to defend their rights, and those who think that they know better than our founding fathers. Sure, there needs to be some sort of line because things are getting out of hand. But taking away gun rights is not the answer! Last night I was browsing a popular news website and ran across an article that made me really roll my eyes. It seems that one of our former Supreme Court justices, John Paul Stevens, doesn’t just want gun reform… he wants to completely repeal the Second Amendment. But don’t just take my word for it.
